EFFLUENT TREATMENT VALIDATION

Effluent disinfection and treatment systems are designed to reduce the risk of environmental contamination by reducing the load of potentially infectious or harmful microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. To be effective, measurement and verification of a system’s performance characteristics are critical. Often times a system’s theoretical or designed performance is never tested or verified following installation or after a major change to its design or operation. This is especially true and important for viruses since traditional bacteriological indicators may not be representative. RPC has been assisting municipalities, processing plants and research facilities to measure and validate the viral disinfection performance of their system in order to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
