Why RPC?
-
“Throughout my project, my supervisor, Dr. Andrien Rackov, provided exceptional mentorship and guidance. He consistently made himself available to discuss different aspects of the project, checked in regularly on my progress, and remained well informed of my work every step of the way. His support allowed me to develop both confidence and independence as a researcher while ensuring I always felt supported throughout the project.
What truly made the experience memorable, however, was the team. The members of the Research and Controlled Substances (RCS) team were not only highly knowledgeable and accomplished professionals, but also friendly, humorous, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. They regularly collaborated and bounced ideas off one another to help me overcome challenges whenever I found myself at a standstill. No matter the question or obstacle, someone was always willing to help. Even when I interacted with individuals outside of RCS, I found everyone to be responsive, supportive, and eager to assist. RPC fosters a close-knit and collaborative workplace culture where colleagues clearly know and enjoy working with one another. This sense of community was evident in day-to-day interactions and made social gatherings especially enjoyable. Overall, my time at RPC was an outstanding experience that provided valuable technical skills, meaningful professional relationships, and lasting memories. I would highly encourage any student considering completing their honours project at RPC to take advantage of the opportunity. The mentorship, collaborative environment, and welcoming culture make it an exceptional place to learn, grow, and conduct meaningful research.”
