Post-Doctoral Scientist

A post-doctoral scientist would join an RPC laboratory of scientists and technicians to undertake an applied research project in an area of strategic importance to New Brunswick, including but not limited to aquaculture, agriculture, or forestry. The research project would contribute to expansion of the department's research base and programs of client-led research and services. The candidate would hold a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and not have prior experience in an industrial R&D role.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in organic chemistry, physical metallurgy, biology, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, population genetics, proteomics, bioinformatics or related field
  • Demonstrated research excellence.
  • Peer reviewed publication of research results
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead research of technicians and research assistants
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying knowledge to industry challenges
